Channeling My Inner Paula Deen

Bravo koritsi mou...they look ready for diving into!
I love these, too! I do love Greek cookies, so. Dumb ol' New Jersey where I can hardly find them. I don't know why there's more Greek food in the midwest.

Anyway, my mother made an Italian version of these, but I've never tried them out. I want to try these soon, but am thinking I'd like to use amaretto. :-)
Mmm got to love butter and Paula Dean. :) These look yummy!
They look really good! My mother makes these every year for the holidays.
Oh yum! Almond crecents are one of my favorite cookies! I can't wait to make them this year! :)
[this is good]
It's true. Everything's better with butter. And your cookies are perfect--buttery, moist, and rich. What's not to love about them? Thanks for submitting them to my event, Elly! Cheers,Susan
Paula's food is one thing but the woman herself - love her!

All of your holiday treats look amazing.
Kourambiedes are the best! (they must be better than Paula's food, although I have to admit I can watch her because her voice drives me through the ceiling). What's the red stuff in the middle of the cookie that's broken open? Is it just a nut???

Thanks, all!

Emily, these would be great with amaretto given they use almonds and everything. I may take your suggestion next time around. :)

Laurie, it is a nut! I think it might have picked up a little red hue from the tin. And I am with you on Paula.
