awesome elly! your yiayia is adorable and so are you! the dish looks absolutely delicious.
what a great story! your yiayia is so cute... i love how she can't tell you how to make it but can only 'show' you :) i love spanakopita and this looks amazing!

How cute! And looks so yummy! I love spinach!!

Elly, great pita and yes, it's regional. I saw this being made on Greek tv as "babanetsa" and you can see another version of this from laurie, here...

Elly, thanks so much for this glimpse into your life. I loved seeing the pictures of Yiayia and you and Tom (your husband, right?). And with the step-by-step pictures, I think I can even attempt this dish. It'll be a perfect meal for my best friend and her family, all of whom are vegetarian. Thanks!

Elly! I really loved reading this story and looking at all the pictures. What a wonderful experience with your yiayia (and yes that is HUGE pan!)

This looks delish! Love the pics and the story! :)

This looks like a really tasty dish. I am always on the lookout for new and interesting spinach dishes.

Elly, I feel all cuddly and warm after reading this post.

Big hugs to you and your Yiayia is a treasure!

Hi Elly, I visited earlier as well but I don't know if my previous message was sent as I had to sign up to VOX to send you a message. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that I am glad that Jenn has given us this opportunity to meet and know each other although I must admit I have read your comments on Peter's blog. I shall be visiting you more often now. Ivy

Hi Elly,

I do very much appreciate that your yiayia does not cook with recipes (as I do)
