Pork Fried Rice: A Lighter Version

Comments

Looks great and I'm all about brown rice. I like the nutty flavor it has when used for fried rice!
My dad was a vegetarian, but a very fussy one so we grew up without Chinese food as well. As a teen though I disovered one of our favourite hangouts and all that it had to offer!!!!
Good to see a heathy version of this Elly. My fave is Thai chicken fried rice. Liberally drizzled with fish sauce, chili and freshly squeezed lime juice.

Oh ... now I have Chinese on the mind! I love Chinese and Thai particularly, and I always like to order the spiciest items on a menu. It's great to make these dishes at home like you said ... I made some stir fried Shanghai bok choy and baked Japanese Yams with scallion butter a couple weeks ago that I have yet to post about.

Your fried rice looks amazing!

I always liked Chinese, intrigued by it as a kid and I can recall chicken chow mein as my first dish. I moved on to fried rice (like you've done here) and I haven't looked back since.

Last night on The Biggest Loser, I saw a ground chicken lettuce wrap and now this morning this delicious rice. I realize it's been quite a while that I've done something Asian -- which I'll have to remedy when I go grocery shopping. Thanks, Elly.

I am picky as to where I buy Chinese food, so if I can make it at home, we will definitely eat it more often. Thx for sharing with us!!
This looks awesome! It's one of my husband'ss favorite dishes out at chinese restaurants so I'm happy to make a lighter alternative that still looks moutherwatering!
